Civil Air Patrol Squadrons 84, 49, and 46 Official Parade Color Guards
Civil Air Patrol is the Auxillary of the Air Force, established nationally in 1941. The participating Civil Air Patrol Color Guard consists of units from three local CAP Squadrons.
Squadron 84, headquartered at the world famous Edwards Air Force Base since 1984, can be found near NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center. More information about Squadron 84 can be found below.
Squadron 49 is headquartered at the home of historic aviatrix Pancho Barnes on the Rosamond airport.
Squadron 46 resides high in the mountains at the Tehachapi airport past the wind turbine farms.

Squadron 84
Civil Air Patrol Squadron 84 is headquartered directly on Edwards Air Force Base, and meets weekly on Tuesdays.
They are the Civilian Auxiliary of the Air Force, founded in 1941, and have squadrons located throughout the United States.
Members as young as 12 years of age are allowed to join. They wear the same uniform as the USAF, and learn and test in Aerospace, Aviation, Emergency Services, plus many more diverse specialties.
The cadets develop maturity and leadership skills as they learn discipline, drill, test and promote in much the same manner as the Air Force.
Squadron 84 is proud of its color guard, which has served at JetHawks stadium for a number of baseball games, the Palmdale Playhouse, AV Performing Arts Center, plus a host of school assemblies, ribbon cutting ceremonies, etc.
Squadron 84 is honored to be invited as one of the official color guards and looks forward to serving in the AVV Parade in November.
